In 1985, Modern Languages(including French, German and Spanish) were selected by 24% of the students, a figureslightly higher thanthe enrollment for Fitness and Dance(22%). Art coursescame thirdin the preference list, attracting 17% of the students. Local History and Cookeryshared a similar figurein application, with 15% and 14% respectively.By contrast, only 8% of the students applied for Music Appreciation this year.

At present, the distribution of enrollments for different courses has witnessed significant changes.This is especially noticeablefor IT—with 27% of the students enrolled in this course, it has become the most dominant choice in this institution.By contrast, Art has become the least popular course, with its figurefalling marginally toonly 15%.AlthoughModern Languages were more attractive than other courses in the initial year, its popularity hasseen a remarkable dropby 7% today. Fitness and Dance was the only one that has experienced no changes in its appeal,whilethere has been a modest growth inthe popularity of Cookery to 19%.
